Charity Fundraising 2006
The big hearted team at Crowe have had a busy 2006 raising money for charity. Events ranged from sponsored activity events to in house raffles.
The year started off quite quietly with dress down days and raffles, lulling us all into a false sense of security.
Then it was summer and everyone was busy getting wet and sunburnt, racing Viking Longboats, completing in adventure challenges, gorge walking and paying other people to take part in the gruelling Parish Walk (80+ miles in 24 hours) – some people actually enjoy it.
We rounded off the year with coffee mornings (including hot pasties – far too delicious for the waist line) and raffles galore.
During the year our team supported the following charities, raising over £2,300:-
Macmillan Cancer
Isle of Man Children’s Centre
BBC Children In Need
St Bridget’s Hospice
Claire House
Alder Hay Childrens Hospital

This year has got off to a flying start with the team supporting The Royal National Lifeboat Institute (any excuse to munch through some goodies – and wear trainers), raising £251.

Friday 26 October saw the entire island awash with pink as the island became the Isle of Man Woman for the day in support of Breast Cancer charities. Just about everyone on the island wore something pink.
